FUNDRAISING FOR BEYOND BLUE
This September, MFS Contracting is running for good mental health in Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. 100% of the funds raised will go towards Beyond Blue’s 24/7 Support Service, providing immediate counselling and referrals to anyone experiencing anxiety, depression and at risk of suicide.
Our team will be participating in the various running events, which include the marathon, half-marathon, bridge run and family fun run.
MENTAL HEALTH IN CONSTRUCTION
Mental health awareness is of universal importance and within the construction industry the frightening statistics show that we still have a lot of work to do. Australian construction workers are six times more likely to die from suicide than an accident at work, with young construction workers more than two times more likely to take their own lives than other young Australian men.
